project was presented to the Urban Forestry Advisory Committee
(UFAC) as an informational item on August 7, 2006 due to the possible
loss of an oak tree downslope of the construction zone. UFAC was
concerned about the possible impact to the tree and asked staff to
examine options to tree removal if it is determined that the tree is
impacted. Staff believes that the tree will be minimally affected by the
construction operations and will monitor the work to protect the tree's
           root structure.
