PURCHASE ORDER CONTRACT WITH
ONE SOURCE DISTRIBUTORS TO FURNISH AND DELIVER MISCELLANEOUS ELECTRIC
UTILITY MATERIALS
Recommendation:
(1) Find that the contract is exempt from the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to State CEQA Guidelines, Section
15061(b)(3); and
(2) Accept the bid dated January 12, 2010, submitted by One
Source Distributors to furnish and deliver miscellaneous electric utility
materials for Water and Power Department (Department); reject all other
bids; and authorize the Purchasing Administrator to enter into a purchase
order contract with One Source Distributors for an amount not to exceed
$3,600,000 for a period of four years, with two optional one-year
extensions, each not to exceed $900,000 per year, for a total maximum
expenditure not to exceed $5,400,000.

APPLICATION FOR DESIGNATION OF
THE CITY OF PASADENA AS A PRESERVE AMERICA COMMUNITY
Recommendation:
(1) Find that the application for designation as a Preserve
America community is categorically exempt from the California Environmental
Quality Act (CEQA) under Section 15061, general rule that CEQA only applies
to projects which have the potential for causing a significant effect on the
environment; and
(2) Adopt a resolution to submit an application to designate the
City of Pasadena as a Preserve America community and to continue to preserve
historic resources and promote heritage tourism.

EXTENSION OF PASADENA JOB
CENTER LEASE AT 500 NORTH LAKE AVENUE, CONTRACT NO. 17,188
Recommendation:
(1) Find that the leasing of the Pasadena Job Center located at
500 North Lake Avenue from TOVA, LLC (TOVA) is categorically exempt from the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to State CEQA
Guidelines, Section 15301 (Existing Facilities); and
(2) Authorize the City Manager to execute a five-year lease
incorporating the terms and conditions generally described in the agenda
report with TOVA for the City to continue leasing the building located at
500 North Lake Avenue for a day labor operations facility (Job Center), and
any other documents necessary to carry out the lease.
