     NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Meeting of the City Council will be held
on Monday, December 27, 1999, at 5:00 p.m., in the City Council Conference Room, City
Hall, 100 N. Garfield Avenue, Room 247, with a teleconference location at
1806 El Encanto Road, Santa Barbara, California, to discuss the item listed below:

1.   PUBLIC COMMENT LIMITED TO ITEM ON THIS SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE

2.   CLOSED SESSION:

    A.   CITY COUNCIL CONSULTATION WITH PASADENA POLICE AND FIRE 
          CHIEFS MELEKIAN AND MITCHELL REGARDING MATTERS POSING
          POTENTIAL THREATS TO PUBLIC SERVICES OR FACILITIES pursuant
          to Government Code Section 54957
	ACTION:  DISCUSSED.  NO ACTION REPORTED

     I hereby certify that this notice, in its entirety, was posted on both the Council 
Chamber Bulletin Board, Room 247, and the Information Kiosk (in rotunda area)

were faxed or delivered to each member of the City Council and faxed to each 
local newspaper of general circulation, radio or television station requesting notice
in writing, all of which media recipients are identified on the distribution list set forth 
herein below.
