NOTE TO PUBLIC: PUBLIC COMMENT IS LIMITED TO THIS SPECIAL MEETING AGENDA, AND LIMITED TO IN-PERSON COMMENTS ONLY

 

Parking: Parking validation will be available for members of the public attending the meeting and utilizing the Paseo Colorado Garages in the parking area below the mall (enter on Colorado Boulevard) or the parking structure located on Green Street and Los Robles Avenue (enter on Los Robles Boulevard).  Please bring your parking ticket to the meeting location in the Center to have your ticket validated. Please note that eastbound traffic on Green Street will be closed to vehicle access from Marengo Boulevard to the crosswalk. 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special meeting of the City Council will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., to discuss the following:  

1.   ROLL CALL/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 

2.   DISCUSSION RELATED TO THE ONGOING CONFLICT IN THE MIDDLE EAST AND CONSIDERATION OF A POSSIBLE CITY POSITION RELATED THERETO
     
Recommendation:
The City Council has requested background information to assist in determining whether and how to address the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Among the alternative approaches for consideration, after
      public comment, are the following:
     
(1)         Not take any official position on the ongoing conflict in the Middle East; or
     
(2)         Adopt a policy that the City will not take official positions on any non-local, political, or social issues; or
     
(3)         Adopt a Resolution taking an official position on the ongoing conflict in the Middle East; or
     
(4)         Take any other action determined by the City Council.
