A. City Manager
(1) AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AMEND CONTRACT NO. 18,742 WITH STETSON ENGINEERS, INC., FOR ENGINEERING DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES OF AN ION EXCHANGE TREATMENT SYSTEM FOR PERCHLORATE REMOVAL Recommendation of City Manager: Authorize the City Manager to amend Contract No. 18,742 with Stetson Engineers, Inc. (Stetson) for engineering design and construction management services of a treatment system for perchlorate removal at Sunset Reservoir for an amount not to exceed $609,931, which includes a 10 percent contingency. Competitive bidding is not required pursuant to City Charter Section 1002(F), for contracts for professional or unique services. 880kb
(2) AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT WITH GENERAL PETROLEUM RESOURCES, INC., FOR FLEET FUEL IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $2 MILLION ANNUALLY FOR A TWO-YEAR PERIOD WITH THREE OPTIONAL ONE-YEAR EXTENSIONS Recommendation of City Manager: (1) Authorize the issuance of a contract to G.P. Resources, Inc., in an amount not exceed $2 million per year to meet the City's annual purchase of fuel for the City's fleet vehicles. The contract is for a two- year period with three optional one-year extensions; and (2) Grant the proposed purchase order an exemption from competitive bidding pursuant to City Charter Section 1002(H), contracts with other governmental entities or their contractors for labor, material, supplies or services. 509kb
(3) APPROVAL OF FINAL VESTING TRACT MAP NO. 066394 FOR THE CONVERSION OF 23 EXISTING APARTMENT UNITS INTO 23 CONDOMINIUM UNITS AT 166 NORTH WILSON AVENUE Recommendation of City Manager: Adopt a resolution to: (1) Approve Final Vesting Tract Map No. 066394; and (2) Authorize the City Clerk to execute the certificate on the map showing the City's approval of said map. 563kb
(4) APPROVAL OF FINAL PARCEL MAP NO. 065893, BEING A COMMERCIAL PROJECT TO CONSOLIDATE FIVE EXISTING LOTS INTO A SINGLE PARCEL, AT 1687-1733 EAST COLORADO BOULEVARD Recommendation of City Manager: Adopt a resolution to: (1) Approve Final Parcel Map No. 065893; (2) Accept the offer of easement dedications for street purposes as shown on said map; and (3) Authorize the City Clerk to execute the certificate on the map showing the City's approval of said map. 604kb
(5) CONTRACT AWARD TO HARDY & HARPER, INC., FOR THE PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE OF STREETS - 2007 FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,300,000 Recommendation of City Manager: (1) Accept the bid dated August 8, 2007, submitted by Hardy & Harper, Inc., in response to the Project Specifications for the Preventive Maintenance of Streets - 2007, reject all other bids received, and authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract not to exceed $1,300,000, which includes a base bid of $1,028,220 and a contingency of $271,780. (2) Acknowledge the project to be categorically exempt under Section 21084 of the Public Resources Code in accordance with Article 19, Section 15301 (Class 1), subsection (c) (maintenance of existing public streets) pursuant to the findings of the Secretary of the Resources Agency, and authorize the City Manager to execute and the City Clerk to file a Notice of Exemption for the project with the Los Angeles County Clerk. 901kb B.
