 Some
items just won't fit in your trash container. In that case, call 744-4087 to schedule a free "bulky
item" pick-up of old appliances (except electronic
equipment), mattresses, rolls of carpet, furniture and more. After
making your appointment, simply set your bulky items next to your trash cans
in front of your property, on your regular trash day by
7 a.m.
If you are
paying for refuse service with the City of Pasadena, you are entitled to two
free bulky item pickups per year, per property. Additional pickups are
available for a fee, ranging from $35 to $125, depending on the size of the
load and the type of items. The bulky item program is very popular, hauling
in 3,200 tons of bulky refuse this year alone.
If you're doing a cleaning out your garage or have other major
clean-up work, you can also rent a three-cubic-yard city dumpster for $89. It
has to stay on your property, out of sight of passers-by, and can be moved to
