Trails Guide to the Arroyo Seco: PNR has
recently completed a trails guide to the Arroyo Seco in
Pasadena. This pocket sized guide will
be available at the City Parks reservation desk, at the PNR
office, or by calling 626.744.4321. An
online version of the map is available on the
Arroyo Seco webpage. |

Smart
Irrigation at the Gamble House:
PNR recently got a
donation to retrofit existing irrigation at the Gamble
House. Rainbird's donation allowed us to replace inefficient
heads with MP rotators which are much more efficient putting
down larger water droplets and allowing less transpiration.

|
Brookside Park: A new
safety gate and trash enclosure have been constructed at the
park in the historic 'arroyo stone' style in order to
enhance the pedestrian experience there. |

Robinson Park: The
park renovation is now under construction, with a
anticipated completion in December, 2009. This will be
a full size football/baseball field (with 2 baseball
diamonds). The contractor is near completion with the
demolition work and has started working on rough
grading.

|
Memorial and Washington Parks:
New handrails for these parks have been sent out to bid
for construction. While upgrading all the steps and ramps to
the accessibility standard, the new handrails emphasize
aesthetic design which aligns with the historic nature of
the two parks. |
|
Central Park: A play
equipment replacement project has commenced with a design
discussion meeting attended by interested community members,
the project architects, and City staff. |
|
New York Drive

Construction will resume on
the landscaping of New York Drive Median Islands. This
project will eventually continue up to Altadena Drive. |
