U.S. CENSUS IS HIRING IN PASADENA
Good news for job-seekers: Two thousand people in the greater Pasadena
area are expected to be hired by the U.S. Census Bureau.
Pasadena’s Complete Count Committee – more than 50 community
organizations coordinating the survey efforts – announces that hiring is
taking place now to help prepare the way for a complete count of
residents in Pasadena and neighboring cities next spring.
Salaries are competitive for regional office positions with various
levels of responsibility and for actual Census takers out in the field.
Full- and part-time jobs are available. A written test is required for
supervisory and non-supervisory positions; sample questions are provided
online.
Conducted every 10 years by mandate of the U.S. Constitution, the Census
is a count of every living person in the United States of America. It
takes only about 10 minutes to complete the form, and federal law
protects personal information from being shared with other agencies.
Results are used to distribute Congressional seats to states, identify
community needs and distribute hundreds of billions of dollars in
federal funding annually to U.S. cities to help support local housing,
education, health and transportation services.
Bilingual speakers are encouraged to apply. For more information visit

or call (866) 861-2010 and enter your zip code to find out
what tests are available when and where. |
