“CAPITOL REPORT WITH CONGRESSMAN ADAM SCHIFF”
– New Episode Features California
Community Colleges Chancellor

The newest edition of “Capitol Report with Congressman Adam Schiff” is airing on 55 KPAS, the City of Pasadena’s cable’s cable television channel, and on the Internet.
Schiff’s guest is Jack Scott Ph.D., who has been appointed chancellor of the California Community Colleges. Dr. Scott is a former California state senator and president emeritus of Pasadena City College.

Schiff and Scott discuss the economic crisis and state budget challenges, the ability of community colleges to be “engines of economic recovery” by preparing students for vocations or transfers to four-year colleges, and the role community colleges play in meeting the needs of unemployed residents and those with limited incomes.
“Capitol Report” airs Mondays at 2:30 p.m., Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 a.m., Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Visit www.cityofpasadena.net and click on City News for streaming video in real time (broadband users will get best results). On Pasadena televisions where the cable runs directly into the set instead of a cable box, KPAS can be found on channel 1.

“Capitol Report” is videotaped by the House Recording Studio, which is made available to members of the U.S. Congress for communicating with constituents in their home districts.

Schiff represents California’s 29th Congressional District and is a member of the House Appropriations Committee, Judiciary Committee, and Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. He is co-founder and co-chair of the Democratic Study Group on National Security.
