CODE COMPLIANCE Quadrennial Inspection Program The Quadrennial Inspection Program was established in 1987 to ensure the quality and maintenance of the Citys multi-family housing stock. The Quadrennial Inspection Program was developed with the cooperation of the Foothill Apartment Owners Association, the Pasadena Board of Realtors, and City staff. All rental properties containing three or more units are subject to the Quadrennial Inspection Program, and are inspected once every four years. After inspection, property owners are notified of any existing code violations and given a reasonable time for their correction. Upon correction of all violations, a Certificate of Occupancy is issued for the rental properties. This program has been effective in identifying multi-family properties that suffer from neglected maintenance, and has contributed significantly to the improvement of the Citys rental housing stock. The Quadrennial Inspection Program is administered by the Code Compliance Section of the Planning and Development Department, located in the Pasadena Permit Center at 175 N. Garfield Ave. QUADRENNIAL PROGRAM INSPECTIONS SCHEDULE Application and fee schedule are available at: Permit Center For further information, please call (626) 744-4633
