Pasadena Public Library’s One City, One Story 2009 celebrated its final event on Sunday, April 5 with An Afternoon with author Luis Alberto Urrea. Mr. Urrea shared his experience writing The Hummingbird’s Daughter in a conversation with Jan Sanders, Library Director.
You can still
watch or listen to the event if you were not able to attend.
The library hopes that your participation in One City, One Story 2009 provided an opportunity for you to broaden and deepen your appreciation of reading and literature.
Book discussions are held throughout the year at Pasadena Public Libraries and continue the aim of the One City, One Story program to engage the community in dialogue and to bring our community together by promoting tolerance and understanding about differing points of view. You can view the
Pasadena Public Library Newsletter for specific locations, dates, and times.
The library is most appreciative of the many donors and community partners who made this project possible.
