The Pasadena Policy on Children,
Youth and Families 2006 Update
The Pasadena Policy on Children, Youth and Families 2006
Update will be considered for adoption by the City Council on March 26,
2007. The document was recommended to Council by the Human Services
Commission, following an extensive review and comment process by a local
task force as well as public input (including a public workshop). The
2006 Update highlights current and emerging issues for Pasadena
children, youth and families, with a focus on six priority areas: Good
Health, Safety and Survival, Economic Well-Being, Social and Emotional
Well-Being, Education, and Information and Access to Services. This
document updates the original Policy adopted by City Council in 1989.
